About the movie: The shimmering waters of the Caribbean are an inexhaustible source of mysterious and thrilling adventures for the roguish yet charming Captain Jack Sparrow. However, his idyllic life changes dramatically when the cunning Captain Barbossa seizes his ship, the Black Pearl, and attacks the city of Port Royal, from which he kidnaps the governor’s enchanting daughter, Elizabeth Swann. Her childhood friend Will Turner sets out with Jack aboard the fastest ship in the British fleet on a daring mission to rescue Elizabeth and the stolen Black Pearl. Hot on their heels is Elizabeth’s fiancé, the likable and ambitious Commodore Norrington. But Will has no idea that Barbossa and his entire pirate crew are under the influence of a curse that condemns him to eternal life in the world of the undead and transforms him into a living skeleton every night. The curse can only be broken by returning the stolen piece of the cursed treasure to its original place. The crews of both ships set out for an exciting confrontation with Barbossa on the mysterious island of Isla de Muerta. When they raise their swords to battle the dreaded pirates of the Caribbean, at stake are Jack’s revenge, the Black Pearl, the forgotten treasure, breaking the curse on Barbossa and his crew, the fate of the British naval fleet, and, last but not least, the lives of our brave heroes.
